For Students - Internships & Work Placements

Get a real taste of working life

Arrow It's not as easy as just getting good grades anymore. Now employers want to know about your experience, to prove you've got what it takes to do the job. Whether you've just left school, or you're currently at University, Real Apprentice is here to help you get that vital experience to get on the career ladder, and get a real taste of working life.

Arrow With most people graduating with a 2:1 from university, an internship could give you that extra edge over other applicants.

Arrow Most opportunities are paid so why not get involved in work that could lead to greater things rather than working weekends at your local high street store?!...You could earn up to £35k for a year-long industrial placement! Real Apprentice can help you build up a comprehensive network of contacts, which could lead to endless opportunities in the future.

Arrow The only way to find out if a career is right for you is to experience a taste of the working lifestyle. At the very least you'll have some valuable work experience to put on your CV and talk about in interviews.

Employers constantly highlight the need for experience and interviews can be particularly daunting when you haven't got sufficient experience under your belt. Each of the recent Annual Graduate Recruiters (AGR) surveys have highlighted the lack of soft skills in applicants. The most desired were; communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills, showing initiative, and a strong work ethic - all of which are best developed in the workplace!

Real Apprentice was created by a student on a year-long internship at one of the UK's top investment banks in the financial hub that is London's Canary Wharf. We try to help you on your way towards your dream job, whether that means helping you find the right  internship or placement year in industry or even just an insight day.

We do offer A-level school leaver opportunities but unfortunately we do not offer modern apprenticeships, however we do recommend the government-backed National Apprenticeships scheme.
